2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Ghana to open camp next week for Madagascar game

The Black Stars of Ghana will open camp next week to start preparations for the game against Madagascar in June.

Next month when the international break comes around, the Ghana senior national team will resume the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Today, Coach Chris Hughton has named a 24-man squad to do battle for Ghana in the crucial AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.

That game is scheduled to be played on June 18.

As part of preparations, Coach Chris Hughton and his selected players will open camp in Ghana next week before later travelling to Madagascar for the encounter.

Below is the Ghana squad for the June AFCON qualifier:

Defenders: Denis Odoi (Club Brugge), Alidu Seidu (Clermont Foot), Gideon Mensah (Auxerre), Patrick Kpozo (Sheriff Tiraspol), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Joseph Aidoo (Celta Vigo), Alexander Djiku (Strasbourg), Nicholas Opoku (Amiens)

Midfielders: Thomas Partey (Arsenal FC), Mohammed Kudus (Ajax Amsterdam), Majeed Ashimeru (Anderlecht), Salis Abdul Samed (Lens), Edmund Addo (Spartak Subotica)
