2023 Africa Cup of Nations: We have had close to 2 billion people watching globally – CAF President

President of CAF, Dr. Patrice Motsepe has disclosed that close to 2 billion people around the world have watched the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The 34th edition of the continental showpiece started in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13.

After weeks of exciting football, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament is set to come to an end this weekend.

Addressing a press conference today, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe said Africans should be proud that close to 2 billion people have watched the tournament across the world.

“We have had close to 2 Billion people watching AFCON globally. We should be proud as Africans and the next one will be even better,” CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe said.

The final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will come off on Sunday, February 11.

It will be a West African showdown between Nigeria and the host nation Ivory Coast.
