Yusif Basigi, the head coach of Ghana’s U20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, has revealed that he will not underrate their 2023 African Games semifinal opponents Senegal.

The experienced coach said through his team played against the Senegalese twice and won both games, they won’t underrate them because football keeps changing.

Ghana and Senegal will face off on Monday night at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium for a place in the final.

“We have played Senegal in Dakar and in Kumasi. I wouldn’t use that as a yardstick to say we’ve beaten them before they are a weaker side,” Basigi said at a pre-game press conference.

“As far as the game is concerned, the strategies keep changing and coaches keep changing their style of play. I will also stick to what I saw them play here and play according to their tactics.”

Ghana top Group A after winning two games and drawing the other while Senegal finished second in Group A.
