The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that its Elective Congress is set to take place before the end of October 2023.
There were widespread reports suggesting that the mandatory elections would be postponed.
However, in a statement released on Thursday, July 6, 2023, by the General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, has assured the public that Election Committee has already initiated discussions with various clubs.
Their primary focus is establishing a clear roadmap to guide the forthcoming elections.
All actions the GFA take to align with the regulations stipulated in the organization’s statutes, ensure a fair and transparent process.
Furthermore, the Elections Committee has emphasized the need for the approval of the nomination fee, the exact amount of which will be determined during the upcoming Ordinary Congress on July 10 at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
Only after this fee has been determined will nominations be accepted for the highly-anticipated elections.
