Black Meteors have arrived in Kumasi to prepare for their second leg encounter against Algeria in the CAF u-23 Afcon game on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Ghana drew 1-1 with Algeria in the first leg on Friday, March 24 in Annaba, with the Algerians recovering parity courtesy of a penalty after Fatawu Issahaku's Puskas worthy strike to put Ghana ahead.

Ghana has to win the rematch to guarantee qualifying for the u-23 Afcon, which will be held in Morocco from June 24 to July 8, 2023.

Ghanaians at the landing zone were happy to see the squad, especially the wonder boy Fatawu Issahaku.

The addition of captain Afriyie Barnieh, who served a ban after receiving a red card in the most recent CHAN competition, has bolstered coach Ibrahim Tanko's team.

The top three teams from the CAF U-23 tournament will earn a spot in the men's football competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics, which will be held in Paris, France.
