The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will commence on September 6.
This start date is set exactly 82 days after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The GFA also set important deadlines for the upcoming season. Clubs must submit their strips by August 15, and squad lists by August 17. These deadlines apply to clubs in the Women's Premier League and the Division One League (DOL) as well.
Reigning champions Samartex will defend their title against 17 other clubs in the league. They secured the championship last season by surpassing challengers Accra Lions.
The newly promoted teams for this season are Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC.
They replace Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United, who were relegated.
