2024 Olympic Games qualifiers: Black Queens to face Zambia in third round

Ghana’s Black Queens will face Zambia in the third round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers after edging out Benin.

The senior Women’s national soccer team, Black Queens inflicted a 5-0 aggregated score over Benin to secure qualification to the next stage of the qualifiers.

Ghana defeated Benin 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, courtesy Evelyn Badu and an own goal.

Having seen off Benin, coach Nora Hauptle and her charges will face Zambia in the third round of the qualifiers.

Zambia reached the third round of qualifiers without kicking a ball after they drew by in the earlier stages. The two teams will square off in February next year.

The Black Queens has been impressive under Swiss trainer Nora Hauptle, who has guided the team to nine consecutive wins.

The Black Queens eliminated Guinea in the first round of qualifiers.
