The Black Queens' 3-0 victory over Benin in the second round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifying tournament, according to head coach Nora Hauptle, was incredibly demanding on both the coaching staff and the players.

The Swiss continued by saying that Benin was a strong opponent with a compact block, which presented difficulties for her team.

In Nora's opinion, the way her squad played at the Friendship Stadium in Cotonou gave them excellent game control.

“We have won this game 3-0. It was very intense for the players and also for us the staff. It was expected from a strong opponent,” she said.

“They caused us some challenges because they are a very good defending team and compact in the block.

“We operated very focused with very good control of the game; a very good mixture between playing constructive and also releasing some long balls.”

Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the Black Queens in the 45th minute from the penalty spot before Grace Assifuah bagged a five-minute brace to wrap up the scoring.
