The Black Queens, Ghana's national women's football team, have commenced their preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games qualifier against Guinea. The team conducted their first training session at the Centre technique Cherie Souleymane in Conakry on Wednesday.

Under the watchful eye of their head coach, Nora Hauptle, the Black Queens displayed a high level of commitment and intensity during the training session. Nora expressed her satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting the positive energy and dedication shown by the players.

Despite a few absentees, including Portia Boakye and Azumah Bugre, who engaged in light training separately before joining the rest of the squad later on, Hauptle was pleased to have a fully fit team at her disposal.

The training session, lasting approximately two hours, marked Ghana's first practice session since their arrival in the Guinean capital. The players utilized the time to fine-tune their skills and tactics ahead of the crucial encounter.

The Black Queens are set to kickstart their Olympic Qualifiers campaign on Friday, July 14, as they face Guinea in the first round of the competition.
