The Black Starlets are set to clash with Burkina Faso in the semifinal of the 2024 WAFU B U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana secured their spot in the last four with a victory over Benin earlier, while Burkina Faso secured theirs with a 1-0 win against Niger.

Burkina Faso sealed their victory with a lone goal against Niger on Thursday, May 23, following a postponement due to heavy rainfall the previous day.

This win positioned them second in Group B, tying with Nigeria in points but trailing on goal differential.

The upcoming semifinal match will echo last year's fixture at the same stage of the competition, held in Cape Coast, where the Stallions clinched a 1-0 victory over Ghana, dashing the Starlets' hopes of progressing to the final.

Led by coach Laryea Kingston, Ghana will seek revenge and aim to secure a ticket to the final, guaranteeing their participation in the next edition of the U-17 AFCON. Meanwhile, the other semifinal will feature Nigeria against Cote d'Ivoire.
