The Black Stars of Ghana will open camp on Thursday, May 30, 2024 ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Mali and Central Africa Republic next month.

Ghana will face Mali on June 6 at Bamako before hosting Central Africa Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium on June 10.

The West Africa powerhouse will be aiming to secure maximum in both games after a sloppy start to the qualifiers last year.

The Black Stars inflicted a 1-0 win over Madagascar before succumbing to a narrow defeat to Comoros. They are currently fourth on the table in Group I.

Meanwhile, Ghana coach Otto Addo is expected to arrive in Accra on Monday to take full charge of the national team.

He signed a 34-month contract with an option for a further 24 months extension as Ghana coach.

In March, he led the Black Stars to play Nigeria and Uganda during the international break, where Ghana lost to the Super Eagles and share spoils with the Cranes of Uganda.

After the games, Addo returned to Germany to complete his tenure with the Bundesliga giants Dortmund.

The 2023/24 Champions League finalists gave Otto Addo a farewell at the end of the Bundesliga season.

However, he is set to assume his role as the full-time coach of the Black Stars.

He is expected to announce his squad for the games against Mali and Central Africa Republic upon his arrival.
