Ghana coach Chris Hughton wants to revive the hope of Ghanaians by beating Madagascar and Comoros in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The former Premier League manager has come under intense pressure following the Black Stars poor performance during the October international break.

The four-time African Cup of Nations winners performed abysmally last month, losing 2-0 to Mexico before their heavy defeat to the USA.

Having being unimpressive, the Irish-Ghanaian tactician will be aiming to secure victory in next week’s 2026 World Cup qualification games against Madagascar and Comoros to restore confidence.

The four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners will host Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on November 17 before facing Comoros at the Moroni Stadium on November 21, 2023.

The former Premier League manager has today, November 9, 2023 released a 25-man squad for the opening two World Cup qualifying games.

It’s noteworthy captain Andre Ayew has made a return to the squad despite being unattached. Meanwhile, Jojo Wollacot, Majeed Ashimeru, Osman Bukari and Kamaldeen Sulemana who have been out of the national team due to injuries are back to the team.
