Black Stars coach, Otto Addo is counting on key players to be available for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in June later this year.

In the friendly games against Nigeria and Uganda, key players like Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Joseph Paintsil, and Mohammed Kudus failed to show up for the games due to various degrees of reasons.

Ahead of the game, Addo is hoping the key players will be available for the games.

“We hope that key players from this team will come back so we are stronger in June," the 43-year-old told the Ghana FA website.

"We got a lot of answers to a lot of open questions from these matches. Positive but also negative answers to be honest," he added.

Ghan will be hosted by Mali on June 3 before hosting the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium on June 10 in the Round 3 and 4 games of the qualifiers.

Black Stars are currently third in their World Cup qualifying group with three points from two games after beating Madagascar and then losing to Comoros.

After part of the preparations for the upcoming games, Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat against Nigeria before drawing 2-2 with Uganda.
