Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Nartey has heaped praise on 'hat-trick hero' Frank Mbella after an incredible performance against Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors secured a 3-1 victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to strengthen their lead at the top of the league table.

Franck Etouga Mbella opened the scoring for the leaders with a superb left-footed goal from inside the box in the 4th-minute before doubling their lead from the spot in the 45th minute.

Kelvin Kyei reduced the deficit seconds before the halftime whistle but Mbella increased the tally in the 81st minute to complete the job – a hat trick well deserved.

"You know him already He is a super player. I don’t know what to tell him. Congratulations to him," coach Narteh told StarTimes after the game.

Mbella has now scored 11 goals in the league so far.

"I am very happy to score hat trick again. Thank you to my team, technical team, management team and everyone. I enjoy the win, time to prepare and focus on the Hearts of Oak game", he told StarTimes after picking the man of the match award.

Kotoko will take on Hearts of Oak in the first Super Clash of the season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
