Dreams FC's coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has disclosed that rising star Aziz Issah was not operating at full fitness during their crucial CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal match against Stade Malien last Sunday.

Despite this setback, Dreams FC managed to secure a comeback draw against the Malian outfit in Kumasi, eventually clinching a spot in the semifinals following a hard-fought 2-1 victory in Bamako.

At just 18 years old, Abdul Aziz Issah has been making waves with his remarkable football prowess, notably netting an impressive 10 goals in his last 12 appearances for Dreams FC across various competitions.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian football as Dreams FC becomes the first Ghanaian side to reach the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup since the memorable runs of Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko back in 2005 during the inaugural edition of the competition.

“Aziz wasn’t fully fit before our game against Stade Malien in Kumasi…But it was a risk I was willing to take knowing very well he wasn’t fully fit and the game plan worked ”Zito said in an interview on Happy FM.
