Ghana winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has credited Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho for his invaluable support and motivation in adapting to life at the club.

This was after the 19-year-old scored his first goal for Leicester City on Saturday against Swansea City in the Championship.

Fatawu revealed that Iheanacho has been instrumental in pushing him to focus on enhancing his goal-scoring prowess.

Reflecting on his momentous achievement, Issahaku expressed, "I can't even explain how I am feeling right now, but Kele (Iheanacho) always tells me to score so I scored," following the match.

The contest began with Swansea taking an early lead courtesy of Matt Grimes, but Jannik Vestergaard managed to level the scoreline for the Foxes just before the halftime whistle.

Issahaku's goal in the second half reinstated Leicester's lead, ultimately paving the way for Kelechi Iheanacho to secure the victory with a clinching goal in the 88th minute.

Currently on loan from Portuguese powerhouse Sporting Lisbon, Issahaku's performance has caught the eye of Leicester City. The club holds the option to convert the loan into a permanent deal.
