The owner of New Edubiase Football Club, Abdul Salam Yakubu has stressed that he is unhappy about the direction football has taken under the current administration of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to him, he is left with no choice but to vote against Kurt Okraku in the upcoming presidential election of the Ghana FA to save football in the country from sinking any further.

“Everybody knows my stand and that hasn’t changed. I thought they would take our football to a different level but you are witnesses that our football keeps sinking. I am an investor. I invest in it and I know what it can do if things are not working well under this administration.

“When the administration goes well there is no need to bring in a new person. I still feel we need changes. Whatever happens, I have just one vote which is, I will vote for changes,” Abdul Salam Yakubu said in an interview with Kessben FM.

This strong stance comes after the New Edubiase Football Club bankroller walked out of Congress last week.

He protested that the GFA president has reduced the important congress to campaign grounds and could not stand it.
