Outspoken football administrator, Abdul Salam Yakubu has cautioned those who are interested in contesting for the Ghana Football Association presidency in 2019 to lead an exemplary life following the latest banter between Kudjoe Fianoo and Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association [GHALCA], Kudjoe Fianoo on Tuesday attacked the president of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi and his vice George Afriyie over their frequent travellings, claiming that "The GFA leadership have no interest in Ghana Football again'', adding that ''The FA president [Nyantakyi] travels more than some pilots.''

And in a swift rebuttal, the CAF 1st vice president took his official Facebook page to urge Mr Fianoo to stay focus on his work as GHALCA chairman and not interfere in activities of the FA.

And after listening to both sides of the exchange, Salam Yakubu admonished the assertion of the AshantiGold boss and all other who holds the desire to occupy the FA's hot seat to show maturity in their statement.

"Those who want to contest for the GFA presidency next year should do the right thing because it's the football people who will endorse them when the time comes "Salam Yakubu declared on Happy FM.

Nyantakyi declared he will not seek re-election when his tenure expires in 2019 and Fianoo has expressed his interest in succeeding him.
