Defender Abraham Frimpong's move to Velez from Saudi Arabian club Al Ain is the biggest transfer in Bosnia.

The 28-year-old joined the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium outfit from Hungarian heavyweights Ferencvaros TC in February 2021.

During his two-year stint at Ferencvaros, he made 55 appearances scored two goals and assisted 1 goal.

Abraham Frimpong made ten appearances for Saudi Arabian club Al Ain in the Saudi league.

Frimpong is a proven player on the international scene and his arrival will be a real boost for the Mostar Reds.

In the 2019/20 season, he played in the Champions League against Juventus and Barcelona. He is currently in the USA and will sign a one and half year contract with Velez in Bosnia.

Velez is set to travel to Turkey for winter training and Frimpong will likely join the team before the squad leaves.
