AC Milan make early enquiry for Juventus striker

In a bid to get a jump on the competition, AC Milan have made initial enquiries about Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain.

Following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin from Champions League holders Real Madrid, the Argentine is now widely expected to be moved on this summer due to the overload in attacking options at the Allianz Stadium.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan have made it clear that they are closely monitoring the situation around Higuain and their interest in him is real and they have made tentative enquiries.

However, the Rossoneri are aware that they cannot do too much in their pursuit of the striker until they learn their European fate and are set to find out on Thursday if their appeal against a Europa League ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport is successful.

‘El Pipita’ is also wanted by Chelsea, who are now coached by Maurizio Sarri, the man who brought the best out of Higuain during their time together at the Stadio San Paolo with Napoli.

In addition to the Diavolo being prepared to spend to bring the Juventus hitman to the San Siro with the funds Elliott make available, they have also been in constant contact with the representative of former Roma playmaker Leandro Paredes, now at Zenit.
