New AC Milan signing Leonel Vangioni is set for a shock move away from the club just one month after joining.
Italian news outlet Gazzetta World reported that the left-back could join fellow Serie A side Genoa on loan after doubts over his fitness transpired.
Milan head coach Vincenzo Montella is believed to be weighing up whether Vangioni, who is nursing an injury at present, is worth a place in his first-team squad.
And, in the event that the full-back is not considered part of his plans, Vangioni will be loaned out to Genoa after only four weeks at Milan.
Vangioni joined Milan on a free transfer from Argentinian outfit River Plate at the start of July.
Upon completing his move to Europe, the 29-year-old revealed his delight at joining one of the world's biggest clubs.
At the time, Vangioni said: I'm extremely excited.
This club has an incredible history and I am very satisfied to be a part of it. This is something I have always wanted and I am very happy.
There have been so many great players. [Paolo] Maldini is the one that comes to mind, a great player who inspired me a lot.
I hope everything goes well and I want to do my best for Milan.�
However, Vangioni may not even be given an opportunity to impress with I Rossoneri if Montella decides he is not up for the job of fighting for a first-team place.
Vangioni's playing career has seen him take in spells at Newell's Old Boys as well as River Plate.
He made 290 club appearances across both clubsand picked up four pieces of silverware during his time at River Plate.
An Argentina international, Vangioni has been capped on four occasions by his homeland.
