AC Milan tie down starlet to new contract

Patrick Cutrone figures to be a key figure for AC Milan in the coming years, as he has signed a contract extension that runs until 2023.

The two parties had been in talks over a new deal for quite some time, and the Rossoneri’s budget for the 2017/18 financial year confirmed it has been ratified.

Calciomercato.com reports Cutrone will earn close to €1.1 million a season and that the agreement does not include any release clauses.

The 20-year-old made a name for himself last season, netting 10 goals in 28 Serie A appearances for Milan.

He finished the campaign with 18 goals in 46 matches in all competitions, and he has continued his scoring exploits this season with three goals in six matches.

Cutrone’s form even earned him a call-up to the Italian national team in March under then interim manager Luigi Di Biagio.

The striker made his Azzurri debut during their 2-0 defeat to Argentina on March 23.
