Accra Lions are professionals; they impressed me in training - Lothar Matthäus

Former World Cup winner and renowned football pundit, Lothar Matthäus, couldn't hide his admiration for Accra Lions as he watched them train.

The Ghanaian team's professionalism and impressive performance on the field left the legendary German footballer in awe, solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with.

Lothar Matthäus added that he was excited about the new partnership between his outfit and Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions. He encouraged the team to fight for honors together as a family.

Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku and Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) boss Tony Baffoe were at the event on Tuesday morning.

"I was surprised with how the Accra Lions trained when I visited them. They are professionals and I am excited with this partnership," he said.

"We have to show that we family and we have to fight together,"

Lothar Matthäus 62, captained West Germany to victory in the 1990 FIFA World Cup where he lifted the World Cup trophy, he was awarded the Ballon d'Or.
