Accra Lions assistant coach James Francis was pleased with the performance of his players despite suffering defeat against Hearts of Oak on Wednesday night.

The Phobians inflicted a 1-0 win over Accra Lions in matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The win ensured Hearts of Oak are back to winning ways after a humiliating 3-0 defeat at Karela United last Saturday.

Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange scored on the 64 minutes to hand Hearts of Oak the three maximum points on home turf.

“We’ve been fantastic in terms of keeping possession. Overall, very pleased with the performance but obviously the result is disappointing. We’ve got two days to prepare for King Faisal clash, so we will go back and prepare” he said after the game.

Accra Lions presently sit 5th position on the table with 38 points after 24 matches.
