Accra Lions orchestrated a remarkable comeback, overcoming an early setback to secure a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman on Monday afternoon.

Nsoatreman coach, Maxwell Konadu, admitted that the equalizer delivered by Accra Lions proved to be a destabilizing force that ultimately led to their downfall.

The tension-filled match, part of the thrilling match week 15, saw Nsoatreman taking the lead with an early goal by Kwabena Adu Meider in the 1st minute. However, the script was flipped in the second half as Accra Lions, driven by determination and resilience, mounted a fierce comeback.

The turning point occurred in the 74th minute when substitute Mohammed Yahaya, making a significant impact off the bench, netted the equalizer for Accra Lions. Yahaya's goal injected a surge of energy into the Lions' side.

The climax came in the 81st minute when Yahaya struck again, securing both the equalizer and the winning goal for Accra Lions.

Speaking after the match, Coach Konadu reflected on the challenges faced by Nsoatreman, stating, "We didn't want to change our shape doing the second half so we still continued with the system we started in the first half,"

"We were trying to push some few men forward but against the run of play they equalized and that destabilized us a bit," he added.
