Aduana Stars focused on money zone qualification

Aduana Stars defender, Emmanuel Akuoko says the team hasn’t lost their focus as their ultimate target still remains getting to the league stage of the CAF Champions League.

A lot has happened in the camp of the Ghanaian league champions – not least the notorious fight between two of their players at their training ground days after they beat Algerian side, E. S. Setif 1-0. That negativity notwithstanding, the center back insists they are totally focused on qualification.

“Our focus is to get the victory on Sunday” he told Kumasi based Kessben FM. “We’re very confident that. We’re going to qualify. We don’t care about intimidation. We’ve experienced a lot of intimidation before. We know definitely they will maltreat us, but we aren’t focusing on that. We’re only focused on how to win to get to the money zone. That’s what we are thinking about” he stated.

The defender also touched on the nasty fight between his colleagues Derrick Sasraku and Elvis Opoku. “Everything has been sorted out. There’s no problem between them. We’ve paired Elvis Opoku and Derrick Sasraku to sleep in one room. They even eat together during breakfast. Everything is fine in camp. What happened is a thing of the past. They’ve forgiven each other. The issue is dead now. Everyone is focused on the game” he said.
