Former captain of Aduana Stars Emmanuel Akuoko says the club has disappointed the life patron, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang-Badu II after missing out on the Ghana Premier League title later part of the season.
The Ogya Boys were on course to clinch their third Premier League title after staying on top of the league standings for several weeks but unfortunately lost steam towards the end of the season. Medeama SC took advantage of their slip-up to win their first ever league title.
In an interview with Kessben FM monitored by Footballhghana.com, Akuoko, who won two league titles with the fire boys was blunt his former outfit has disappointed the life patron of the club after losing the GPL title.
“The club has really disappointed their life patron, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang-Badu II. Aduana moved to the 1st position in week 7 and maintained the position for a long time but unfortunately lost the title to Medeama at the later part of the season. I was very hurt when they lost the league. For me, the playing body didn’t do well at all losing the title at the eleventh hour” he said.
