Aduana Stars wants to represent Ghana in Africa next season

Ghana Premier League giants Aduana Stars says they must be chosen to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF inter-club competition or they will go to court.

This is coming over recent suggestions from veteran football administrator Kwaku Manu that Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold should go to Africa if the 2019/2020 football season is canceled.

According to Oppong Evans who is the Communications Director for Aduana Stars, they deserve to go to Africa for being the winners of the last completed Ghana Premier League season.

“Arguments of Kotoko and Ashgold representing Ghana in the next CAF inter-club competition are without basis. Aduana stars were the winners of the last legitimate league played in Ghana.

“The NC competition wasn’t a league, it was used to solve a temporal problem. We will test the law if that decision is taken, it will be unfair to us”, he explained while speaking to Kumasi FM.

Meanwhile, he has also shared that Aduana Stars are not in support for calls for the Ghana Premier League season to be canceled. He shares that they want the Ghana FA to monitor the Covid-19 situation in the country and allow the season to continue when things improve.
