Aduana Stars winger Emmanuel Gyamfi handed 5-game ban and GHC2000 fine by GFA

Aduana Stars winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has been handed a five-game ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for misconduct against Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare.

Aside the ban, the former Kotoko player has been fined GHC2000.

"Aduana FC player Emmanuel Gyamfi has been handed a 5-match ban by the Disciplinary Committee following a sporting misconduct against Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare in a betPawa Premier League game at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park at Dormaa."

"The player was charged by the GA prosecutor following the incident after which he put in a strong defense."

"However, Gyamfi has been banned for five betPawa Premier League matches and fined Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc2,000) having conceded previous warnings issued to the player some time ago," part of the GFA Statement reads.

Gyamfi stamped on the leg of Kotoko goalkeeper, Fredrick Asare during the matchday 10 encounter on Sunday.

The former Kotoko forward turned his frustrations on the Kotoko goalkeeper after the referee whistled for a foul against him.

The winger who was under close marking by Justice Blay turned his frustrations on Fredrick Asare after the whistle went for a foul and nearly stamped him twice.

The ban means Emmanuel Gyamfi will miss games against Dreams FC, Nsoatreman FC, Bechem United, Hearts of Oak and King Faisal.
