Aduana's attack on Tamale City will scare fans away from stadia - Tamale City CEO

Mohammed Iddi, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League side, Tamale City, believes the actions of Aduana FC fans this past weekend will scare fans away from league centers.

Players of the newly promoted Tamale-based side were attacked by fans of the Dormaa-based club after a 100th minute penalty denied the visitors a point in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has since placed a temporary ban on Aduana FC from playing home games at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.

“When you are doing something wrong, you should know that the law will definitely take care of that," Iddi told Citi Sports.

“Football brings us together; we are one family.

“For the past month, we are preaching about raising spectators at the various venues, such acts by these supporters of Aduana FC will scare people away from watching the league.”

The Ghana Premier League has been experiencing the issue of low fan attendance recently and there is no solution in sight yet.
