Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan will miss the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations due to recent injuries.

According to a PulseSports report, the influential midfielder has started training, but has been training differently with three other players who are also recovering from injury at Sassuolo.

Alfred Duncan missed Sassuolo’s home defeat to Inter Milan and won’t be fit to feature for his side when they travel to Cagliari on Thursday.

Alfred Duncan has been battling with fitness: He picked up an injury in September that forced the Black Stars coach to exclude him from the FIFA World Cup games against Uganda and Egypt and suffered another injury setback in November and is yet to play a competitive game for his Italian side, since that time.
