The Black Stars of Ghana could face tough opposition in Nigeria if they manage to beat Guinea Bissau in their final Group F match on Tuesday evening.

The Super Eagles have successfully secured qualification into the next round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament after finishing second at the end of the preliminary stage.

Ghana, on the other hand, will have to play her last match against Guinea Bissau and win convincingly to ensure they progress into the round of 16. Nonetheless, they look likely to finish behind Cameroon who is already topping group F.

According to the format of the tournament, a second-place finish for Ghana in Group F will set up the epic clash between the two teams.

The last time Ghana played Nigeria was at the semi-finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Angola. The Stars eventually emerged as winners, beating Nigeria by a lone goal courtesy a header from Asamoah Gyan.
