Afcon 2019- Kwasi Appiah told his players to wake up after poor first half against Guinea Bissau

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah told his players to wake up after their poor poor performance in the first half against Guinea-Bissau. 

The first half ended goalless  with both teams getting  clear chances at scoring.

Both teams were in search for a win in order to book a place in the Round of 16.

The Black Stars had a poor start  in the first half, Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah at the post match conference said he told his players to wake up.

“The first half was not good enough so at half time I told them to wake up and we saw the urgency they started the second half with”

Jordan Ayew scored the opener on the 46th minute by registering his second goal in the tournament.

Ghana  await either Tunisia or Mali in the Round of 16 which begins on Friday
