Published on: 28 June 2019

Head Coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, James Kwesi Appiah has indicated that his side is in no way scared of their Group F opponent Cameroon as they prepare to face them tomorrow in their second match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The two African giants are both favorites to emerge as winners of the continental showpiece currently ongoing in Egypt. Whiles the defending champions have had a great start of the campaign, there is pressure on Ghana to win her remaining two matches to ensure she progresses into the knockout stage.

The two sides will meet in a cracking encounter on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in what promises to be a final before the final, looking at the pedigree of the two sides and the history between them as far as results of their previous meetings are concerned.

Speaking in a pre-match conference on Friday, Coach for the Black Stars James Kwesi Appiah has assured that his youthful squad is well motivated to beat Cameroon on Saturday afternoon.

“We have nothing but respect for Cameroon, yet no fear. We have a young team that is motivated to achieve and win against Cameroon”, the gaffer shared at the pre-match conference.

The match will be played 17:00GMT at the Ismailia Stadium.
