Black Satellites tactician Desmond Offei has congratulated his players following their victory against Gambia in their second game of the African Games men's football tournament.

The Ghana U20 inflicted a 3-1 win over Gambia after a disappointing draw in their opening game against Congo.

Goals from Musibau Aziz, Abdul Aziz Issah and Jerry Afriyie were enough for the Black Satellites to snatch maximum points in the game.

Gambia managed to score a consolation goal through Ebrimah Ceesay in the 83rd minute, but it was too little, too late.

“We have to congratulate them, the boys have been working really hard and we’ve been pushing them really hard. We know their levels, what they can bring and that is what they did today. If the boys are courageous, if they show hunger, I’m sure every opponent will have a difficult day against us”

“We are very happy with their performance. We are happy for them because they deserve it, very proud. I think we had full control of the game, created enough chances but we committed a penalty to give them one goal as a gift but the response was fantastic”

With their final game against Benin approaching, Ghana is well-positioned to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
