Football agent Scott McGarvey, who arranged the undercover meeting that led toSam Allardyce losing his job, has finally broken his silence on the scandal, claiming that it 'kills him' to see Big Sam lose his dream job.
The 53-year-old agent revealed how he was offered'£218,000 a year, a Range Rover, and acompany credit card' by undercover Telegraph reporters, who were posing as representatives for afictitiouscompany named'Meiran Sports'.
Big Sam went on to attend two meetings with the journalists, confessing to alleged corruption and shady 'third-party ownership deals'.
The former Sunderland and West Ham boss was subsequently sacked by the FA, leaving Gareth Southgate to take over as interim-manager.
McGarvey is reported by theDaily Mailas saying: "It kills me. It's the worst feeling in the world. I've got my own situation, but the real travesty is Sam.

"If he had lost his job at Crewe Alexandra, I would be gutted for him. But he's lost his job as England manager, the job he built himself up for. For Sam to lose that job, because of this, honestly, it kills me. Kills me."
The agent went on to say that he had attended'12 meetings' with the fake 'Merian Sports' group, as well as exchanging'dozens of emails, hundreds of phone calls, hundreds of messages'.
He later told Sky Sports, as quoted in the Mail:"Very surprised. I'm devastated for him. I can't think of anything worse that could have happened.
"He's got to feel I'm responsible because I'm the one who's brought him to the meeting but he's only come for me.

"He's never once spoken about money. He's never once said anything about money. It was only, 'Are you okay, lad? I'll help you'.
"Do I think he holds me responsible? I think he's known me for a long, long time. He knows that I'd never do that to him or to anybody in football.
"I can understand if he doesn't speak to me again. I need to respect that, but I hope not because we go back a long way.
"It might take a bit of time because I know how hurt he is at losing the England job."
