Ghana midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has hand-picked former Udinese manager Francesco Guidolin as the coach who had the most impact on him among all the coaches he played under at the club.

The Black Stars asset joined the Udine-based club in 2010 on the back of a very impressive campaign with the Ghana U-20 team which saw him converting the winning goal in the penalty shootout against Brazil in the finals in 2019.

In his first four years at the club, he played under the tutelage of Francesco Guidolin who managed to build a formidable side.

Not only did he ensure top-four finish in the Italian Serie A on multiple occasions, but the gaffer also led the Udinese team to a very good campaign in the Uefa Champions League.

Speaking to mondoudinese.it on his career at Udinese, Agyemang Badu has indicated that coach Francesco Guidolin left something special on him when he left the club.

"I would say Guidolin. I played with him in the Champions and Europa League, we came third in the championship twice, an incredible result for a club like Udinese.

"Guidolin helped me a lot. We had incredible players: Di Natale, Asamoah, Isla, Armero, Sanchez ... This is all easier. They had Van Persie, great strikers. We did well: we lost in the first leg, on the return we wanted to reassemble, but we lost two by one", the 29-year-old Ghanaian said.

This season, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has spent the campaign on loan at Hellas Verona. Despite an injury scare prior to the start of the season, he has fully recovered and now in good shape.
