Former Udinese midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has urged the current Black Stars players to up their game in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Stars made a promising start to the qualifiers with a 1-0 win over Ethiopia at the Cape Coast stadium last Friday.
However, they failed to build on that as they lost 1-0 leaders, South Africa courtesy Bongokuhle Hlongwane's 83rd-minute strike at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Ghana are now second on the standings with three points, one point behind.
"The current Black Stars players should up their game a bit and they should know the difference between national team and club."
"For qualifiers, you might go and play on a bad pitch and u need to adjust yourself," Emmanuel Agyemang Badu told Ahomka FM/Ocean1 TV."
The Black Stars will in October return to action when the side faces Zimbabwe in a double-header encounter.
The first game will be played at home on October 6 before Ghana travels to Harare for the second meeting on October 10.
