Bechem United striker Ahmed Toure is eyeing success at continental level when Bechem United make their debut in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The 28-year-old Toure was recruited by Bechem to lead their assault on Africa in the Confed Cup which begins in February.

The enigmatic striker joined Ghana's FA Cup champions after a lull in his career after leaving Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He said: “For me am not here for personal glory, I am not looking at the goalking or best player, I just want to help the Club,” he spoke to the media.

“The team will be playing in the Confederations Cup and I want to help them to do something, you know this will be the first time for the Club.

“Is not going to be easy, there are some good teams in Africa, so it will be difficult but I hope we will surprise everyone and get far in the competition.”

Bechem United will play MC Alger of Algeria in the preliminary qualifying round of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Bechem Hunters will play home for the first leg which will be staged between 10–12 February 2017.

MC Alger will host the FA Cup winners at the Stade Omar Hamadi in Algiers for the second stanza

The winner will face either Akanda FC (Gabon) or Renaissance du Congo (DR Congo) in the first round.
