Ahmed Zizou's presence wouldn't have changed much in the first leg against Zamalek - Dream FC coach Karim Zito

Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, expressed confidence in his team's game plan, regardless of the absence of star player Ahmed Mustapha Zizou in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal match against SC Zamalek in Egypt.

Zito emphasized that the team's strategy would have remained unchanged, irrespective of Zizou's participation.

Zizou, a key player for Dreams FC, was unable to play in the match due to suspension. Despite his absence, Zamalek failed to capitalize on numerous scoring opportunities, resulting in a goalless draw.

Zizou, who had contributed significantly to the team's performance in previous matches, was sorely missed by Zamalek.

Looking ahead to the second leg at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 28, Zito remained resolute.

"The absence of Ahmed Mustafa Zizou is not our responsibility, and our plan was clear whether Zizou played or not. The player may participate in the return match in Ghana."
