Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has commended Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus after scoring in their 4-0 win over over Cambuur on Saturday in the Eredivisie.

Kudus, who came off the bench to replace Brian Brobbey early in the second half, scored his side's fourth goal as Alfred Schreuder’s men maintained their 100% start in the current campaign.

The 22-year-old had two shots on goal, made just one key pass, 27 touches, 16 passes and a passing accuracy of 100 per cent.

"He (Mohammed Kudus) brought a lot of threat, hunted well and was on the ball. I have said before how good I think he is, but I also have other players," Schreuder said after the game.

"He should just keep going. But what is a starting player? That’s not my reasoning. I understand because any player with those qualities will be disappointed if he don’t play.

"We talk about that too. Of course Kudus doesn’t agree with me. crazy if he is."
