Ajax working on a deal to buy-back Brobbey- Ten Hag

Ajax head coach, Ten Hag, has confirmed that the Dutch champions are working on a way to buy-back Brian Brobbey from RB Leipzig.

Brobbey, 19, signed a pre contract with the German top-flight side after unsuccessfully coming into an agreement with Ajax over a contract extension.

The young striker has just two months left on his current Ajax contract which means that Leipzig will be getting the young star on a free transfer.

Hag has confirmed that the club is working hard to reverse the arrangement.

“I would like to [get Brobbey back for a long term stay]. I indicated it to Marc (Overmars), Who is also working on it,” Hag stated in a press conference after a 3-1 win over VVV Venlo.

“I don’t know if it is possible. I have talks with him about that, but he just signed there. He’s not even there yet and I don’t know if Leipzig is open to that. He hasn’t been that outspoken to me yet,” he added.

Brobbey can feature for Netherlands or the Black Stars if he chooses to in the near future.
