Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan has been handed a one-match ban by the Italian Federation despite receiving a yellow card before a straight red card in the game against SPAL on Monday.

Duncan was expected to get a stronger punishment as he received a yellow card and later a red card for a dirty tackle on an opponent in the SPAL game.

Notwithstanding, the Italian FA have been lenient and he will only miss one game after they gave him a strong warning.

Duncan had his first yellow card in the 1-1 draw with SPAL in the 89th minute but received a straight red card in the 90th minute for a horror tackle on Simone Missiroli .
