Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan has shared that the late goal from Felipe Caicedo that resulted in his Sassuolo side losing 2-1 to Lazio over the weekend is normal in football as he takes positives from the game.

The two Italian Serie A clubs locked horns in a match week 13 fixture hoping to bag 3 crucial points.

At the end of a drama-filled match, goals from Ciro Immobile and Felipe Caicedo handed Lazio a 2-1 win despite Francesco Caputo getting a consolation for Sassuolo.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Black Stars midfielder Alfred Duncan noted that his side played well but it was unfortunate that the match ended that way.

He shared, “Beyond the episode and the lost game, we played a good game. We must take the positives from today's match. We knew the strength of Lazio.

“In a moment we lowered ourselves a little but we were facing one of the most complete teams in the championship. To take goals at 91 'is then part of the game, we will have to do better next time”.

Duncan added, “We did not suffer much, we played our game. There have been moments where they have had more strength than us. After conceding a goal we were good”.

The Ghanaian midfield enforcer lasted the entire duration of the match and had a good game.
