Alidu Seidu and Andre Ayew's red cards are officially confirmed by LFP

In a sweeping announcement by the Professional Football League (LFP) on Thursday evening, the fate of two prominent Ghanaian football figures, Alidu Seidu and André Ayew, was sealed with official confirmation of their red cards.

Clermont Foot emerged as the hardest hit, bearing the brunt of two suspensions, one of which is a two-match ban for the Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu, mirroring the fate of his coach Pascal Gastien. Both were expelled during a home defeat against Lens, sidelining them from the subsequent draw in Montpellier on Wednesday evening.

Adding to the list of punitive measures, André Ayew, the Ghanaian international striker, faced the repercussions of a red card received just three minutes after stepping onto the field in Le Havre's colors.

The ill-fated moment not only marked his first appearance since joining the team but also ensured his absence from the much-anticipated clash at Stade Océane against Paris Saint-Germain this approaching weekend.

The LFP's stringent decisions, unveiled in the sanctions list encompassing Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 players, have thus cast a shadow over key players and heightened the stakes in the upcoming fixtures.
