Alidu Seidu wins most duels in Clermont Foot's win over Lyon

Ghana defender Alidu Seidu won the most duels (7) as Clermont Foot beat Olympique Lyon 2-1 on Sunday in round 35 of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1 at the Stade Gabriel Montpied.

The 22-year-old versatile player was in superb form for the hosts as they held on to claim a win that leaves them three points behind 7th place Olympique Lyon in the league log.

It was his second game for Clermont Foot after returning from a red card suspension that caused him to miss their wins against Stade Reims and OGC Nice.

French-born compatriot Grejohn Kyei gave the home side the equalizer after 25 minutes with a perfect penalty following Alexandre Lacazette's opener two minutes prior.

27-year-old Kyei, a former France U21 international, then headed in the winner for Clermont Foot five minutes after the hour mark, towering over his marker to score a great cross from the right.

The win takes Clermont Foot's point tally to 53 from 35 games.
