Ghana international Alidu Seidu will no longer feature in the UEFA Europa League following Stade Rennais defeat to AC Milan.
The Black Stars defender made substitute appearances when his outfit inflicted a 3-2 win over the Italian giants in the second leg tie played on Wednesday.
He was introduced in the 57th minute and made a good account of himself as his outfit cruised to victory at the Roazhon Park.
Despite securing victory on home turf, the French Ligue 1 club has been eliminated from the competition having suffered a 3-0 defeat in the first leg in Italy.
The European giants progressed to the Round 16 of the Europa League 5-3 on aggregate.
Rennes have officially been knocked out of the Europa League and must now focus on the domestic top-flight.
Seidu joined Rennes in the just-ended January transfer window after ending his spell with Clermont Foot.
