All smiles in Dortmund training as Ghana World Cup qualification hero Otto Addo returns

Ghana international, Otto Addo has returned to the Borussia Dortmund training following his heroic qualification with the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The German-trained tactician was appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) specifically for the playoff tie of the African qualifiers for this year’s mundial.

In the first of the two legs, the tactical prowess of Coach Otto Addo paid off as his less-fancied Black Stars team held a star-studded Nigeria Super Eagles team to a goalless draw.

Subsequently, the gaffer led Ghana to draw 1-1 with Nigeria in the second leg of the clash played in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola National Sports Stadium.

Courtesy of that result, Ghana qualified for the World Cup thanks to the away goal rule.

In a post on the Twitter page of Borussia Dortmund, the club has confirmed today that Coach Otto Addo is back working in training.

Sources report that the Ghana FA is working to appoint the gaffer on a permanent basis to take Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
