Alves confirms PSG exit

Published on: 23 June 2019

Brazil wing-back Dani Alves has confirmed he will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after two seasons with the Ligue 1 champions.

Alves won back-to-back Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France and one Coupe de la Ligue during his time in the French capital.

Despite being 36, it looks like Alves could still look for a new club, having already enjoyed spells with Sevilla, Barcelona and Juventus.

"Today I close another cycle in my life, a cycle of victory, learning and experiences," Alves said on Instagram.

"It was two years of resilience and continuous reinventing to fulfil my mission, but in life everything has a beginning, a middle and an end and now the time has come to put that final point here.

"I apologise if at any point I was not up to the pitch, I apologise if at some point I made a mistake, just tried to give my best."

Alves is currently with the Brazil squad at the Copa America tournament in his homeland.

PSG are 1/4 to win, 11/2 to draw and 8/1 to lose the France Super Cup on 3rd August against Rennes.
