Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has been left out of the starting eleven for English Champions Leicester City in their crunch encounter against title chasing Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ghanaian has started the last two games from the bench and was expected to be restored into the starting eleven to give the foxes some physical push from midfield but manager Ranieri thinks otherwise.

Leicester City beat Crystal Palace 3-1 in their previous Premier League game while Spurs could only play out a 0-0 game against Bournemouth.

Amartey who has been used as a holding midfielder to occupy their void left by Kante after his move Chelsea, will have to play Saturday’s game from the bench.

The Black stars defender signed for the Foxes from Danish side FC Copenhagen but could only play five times as they went on win a historic league title last season.

Starting XI: Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan (c), Fuchs, Mahrez, Drinkwater, King, Musa, Okazaki, Vardy.

Subs: Zieler, Hernández, Albrighton, Amartey, Schlupp, Gray, Ulloa.
